President / CEO

David M. Rendall is a licensed and practicing attorney in the state of California. Mr. Rendall is also a licensed Real Estate Broker, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX of Santa Clarita, RE/MAX of Valencia, and RE/MAX Gateway. His brokerage has approximately 150 Agents and has annual Sales Volume of about $1B. He is also the proud owner of Group One Investments, Inc., which is a licensed real estate property management and real estate investment firm specializing in Commercial Management and real estate syndication and development. He is also the CEO and Owner of Escrow Advantage, Inc., an independent escrow company (DBO). Mr. Rendall has been actively practicing in real estate since becoming licensed in 2001. Mr. Rendall has been practicing law since becoming licensed in 2003. Mr. Rendall is also a Board Member of the Santa Clarita Economic Development Corporation.

Eric Sweetman

Chief financial officer / Partner

Eric joined Group One Investments, Inc. in 2014 and created the Group One Investments, Inc. Commercial Division. Since joining Group One, he has played an integral role as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Property Management in the growth of Group One utilizing his 30+ years of business and real estate experience.

He holds a California real estate broker’s license, which he originally obtained in 2004, and has held various real estate management positions. Prior to working for Group One, Eric worked for Douglas Emmett— a large-scale high-rise office landlord. He has managed individual site locations comprising of more than 600,000 square feet and portfolios with an aggregate of more than 1.5 million square feet.

Eric has been a key factor in Group One Investments, Inc.’s ability to form a broad range of real estate syndications that include office, industrial, retail, and mixed-use portfolios throughout Southern California which it owns and/or manages. He has been responsible and had oversight of construction management, lease negotiations, pro forma analysis, due diligence, CAM reconciliation, lease negotiations, all aspects in corporate accounting, and offering accounting support to clients and CPAs.

Eric currently resides in Santa Clarita Valley with his wife and two daughters.

Ashley Solorio

Assistant Property Manager

Ashley joined Group One Investments as an Administrative Assistant in 2019 and has been exposed to all aspects of commercial property management. Today, she is the Assistant Property Manager and proactively assists in the oversight in a myriad of types which include office, retail, and industrial. In addition to assisting the Property Manager, she is also responsible for preparing all the specific reporting for ownership which include monthly financials, aged delinquencies, bank reconciliations. She also assists in the preparation and finalization of annual budget drafts, determination of CAM Estimates, Year-end CAM reconciliations. Additionally, she assists in tracking of Tenant and Capital Improvements, administration of tenant move-in/outs, client relations and customer service.

Ashley’s efforts have played an integral role in improving the processes and efficiencies within the organization, her daily and consistent conscientiousness exemplify the character of the individual that she is and has been an example for all of us within the organization.

Claudia Lopez

Property Coordinator / Accounting Assistant

As an experienced Property Administrator, Claudia has spent over a decade ensuring the seamless management of commercial properties. With a strong background in real estate and property management, Claudia excels in overseeing daily operations, maintaining tenant relations, and coordinating maintenance activities.

Claudia’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence have consistently resulted in high tenant satisfaction and efficient property operations. She is adept at handling lease agreements, rent collections, and property inspections, ensuring all aspects of property management are handled with precision.

In her role, Claudia is known for her exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to property management. She thrives in dynamic environments and is dedicated to maintaining the value and appeal of the properties under her care.

When she’s not managing properties, Claudia enjoys volunteering in her community, exploring new real estate opportunities, and spending time with her family.

Ismael Barajas

Chief Building Engineer

Ismael has been working with Group One Investments as a Chief Building Engineer since 2020. He has been working as an engineer for 11+ years of managing operations, maintenance, and repair of various building systems including Class A office high rise.

He has previously held engineering responsibilities on such properties as the NBC Universal Building in Studio City and the Nestle building in Glendale which combined encompass more than 1 million square feet. He has comprehensive knowledge of integral building systems such as HVAC, fire life safety, electrical, plumbing and ensures performance and compliance with safety standards.

He is always key in providing prompt responses to whatever building issues he may be tasked with. Ismael is an example to all on how to work in a diligent, polite, professional, and respectful manner and often receives high praise by all that work with him.

Ismael resides in the San Fernando Valley and enjoys spending time with his family which includes his two sons.
